TTK Testing Weapon Tier List — Early Access Rankings
Last updated: 2026-06-21
This page ranks every weapon category currently discussed in TTK Testing early access. Rankings come from FFA match data, community videos, and repeated range testing — not developer statements. Because the game receives frequent balance passes, copy this list into your notes and verify against your own lobbies after each update.
Tier key
- S — Meta-defining; pick rate and win rate skew high in skilled lobbies.
- A — Strong all-around or specialist choice; minimal downside.
- B — Viable with correct positioning and attachments.
- C — Niche or outclassed in most current maps.
- D — Experimental only; likely to change in the next patch.
S tier — close-range kings
M4 Benelli (Shotgun)
The M4 Benelli is the standout S-tier weapon in June 2026 community meta. Players report one-shot or near-one-shot potential at close range, making it devastating in Institute hallways, Compound room stacks, and Research Station interior fights. Its weakness is range: open sightlines punish Benelli users hard.
Best use: Aggressive FFA flanking, room clearing, pairing with a laser and fast movement. See Close Range Builds for recommended setups.
A tier — reliable primaries
MCX-style rifles and similar primaries
Rifles listed in our weapons/rifles overview generally occupy A tier. They combine manageable recoil, solid mid-range damage, and strong attachment support — especially EOTech holographic optics and magnifier combinations. Rifles are the best learning platform for new players because they forgive positioning mistakes better than shotguns.
Best use: Default FFA loadout, holding angles on Research Station, trading at medium distance on Compound rooftops.
SMG-class sidearms (situational A)
When classified as a secondary but used in pure close-range builds, certain SMG sidearms perform at A tier inside their range band. They fall off quickly outside shotgun distance but offer faster handling than primaries during swaps.
B tier — sidearms and flex picks
Glock 19X (Pistol)
The Glock 19X sits in B tier for most players: dependable when your primary is empty, but rarely winning fair fights against fresh primaries at equal skill. Skilled pistol players can bump it to A tier in pistol-only challenge runs or extreme ammo conservation strategies.
Best use: Backup after shotgun pushes, finishing low-health targets, silent swap when reloading mid-fight.
Standard pistols without SMG traits
Other sidearms without SMG handling typically remain B or C tier depending on patch damage values.
C tier — map-dependent options
Weapons that require long sightlines struggle in current FFA map pools dominated by interior combat. If future modes like Ground War or larger outdoor maps ship, expect sniper or marksman categories to climb. For now, anything that needs range without one-shot close power stays C tier in public lobbies.
D tier — avoid for ranked grinding
During early access, D tier is less about useless weapons and more about options that are bugged, unfinished, or strictly worse than another free unlock. If two guns feel similar, pick the one with better attachment slots and lower recoil. D-tier placements here usually mean community consensus says one option is strictly inferior until patched.
Matchup considerations
Tier lists assume average FFA chaos — multiple angles, third parties, and no team callouts. A B-tier pistol wins if you catch an S-tier Benelli player reloading in open ground. Rifles beat shotguns if you pre-aim corners at fifteen meters. Always convert tier knowledge into positioning, not just loadout copying.
Patch sensitivity warning
The M4 Benelli S-tier placement follows community reports from the June 2026 update cycle. A single pellet spread or damage tweak could drop it to A tier. Rifle recoil changes could shuffle MCX-style platforms against SMG sidearms. Revisit this page after DevForum patch notes or in-game update banners.
