TTK Testing FFA Build — Generalist Loadout
Last updated: 2026-06-21
Free-For-All is the only public queue in TTK Testing early access, which means your build must handle unpredictable angles, third-party fights, and constant respawns without team support. This FFA build targets consistency over highlight-reel one-shots. It is the loadout we recommend before you specialize into shotgun rushes or helmet cam experiments.
Recommended FFA loadout
| Slot | Choice | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | MCX-style rifle / A-tier assault platform | See Rifles |
| Optic | EOTech-style holographic sight | Fast ADS, good reticle |
| Underbarrel / rail | Laser | S-tier hip-fire support |
| Secondary | Glock 19X | B-tier backup pistol |
| Tactical | Fire mode toggle if available | Semi for range, auto for panic |
This mirrors the A-tier rifle placement on our Weapon Tier List. You are not running the S-tier M4 Benelli because FFA lobbies mix ranges — a rifle forgives mistakes when someone engages you at ten meters while you are aimed at twenty.
Why this build works in FFA
FFA spawns scatter players across the map. You will fight in Institute stairwells, Research Station corridors, and Compound courtyards in the same match. A rifle with holo and laser covers:
- Mid-range holds — Pre-aim common paths with ADS.
- Close panic fights — Laser hip-fire when someone corners you.
- Ammo emergencies — Glock cleanup after long streaks without reload discipline.
The build avoids NVG and flashlight by default because most FFA fights happen in mixed lighting. Add tactical light only if you consistently lose dark corner fights on a specific map.
Engagement rules
Rule 1 — ADS at range, hip-fire inside five meters. Your laser exists for the second case. Do not ADS swing into shotgun range if you hear footsteps.
Rule 2 — Reload behind cover, not after kills. FFA third parties arrive fast. Break line of sight before topping magazines.
Rule 3 — Swap to Glock only when primary is empty and enemy is wounded. Fair pistol duels against full primaries lose more often than not.
Rule 4 — Use lean keys Q and E from Controls to minimize exposure when holding doors.
Map-specific tweaks
On Institute, play slightly more aggressive — corridors shorten time-to-contact. On Research Station, favor semi-auto taps at range. On Compound, watch rooftop angles; pre-aim skylines when rotating outside.
If you lose three close fights in a row on Institute, switch to Close Range Build for that session instead of forcing rifle CQB.
Attachments to add later
Once the core build feels automatic, experiment with:
- Magnifier behind holo for Research Station sightlines.
- Handling grip if vertical recoil causes missed follow-up shots.
- NVG for dark interior stacks only — not every spawn.
Rank new attachments using Attachment Tier List before replacing laser or optic.
Common mistakes
Running without a laser wastes the build identity. Ignoring sidearm swap timing gets you killed mid-reload. Copying shotgun creators while using a rifle build causes range mismatch — pick one philosophy per match.
Skill progression path
Master this FFA build for ten to twenty matches, then branch:
- Close Range Build for map mastery.
- Helmet Cam Build for immersion and content creation.
- Custom hybrids once you know your personal win conditions.
FFA is the training ground for every future TTK Testing mode. Solid rifle fundamentals transfer directly when Survival or Missions arrive.
Spawn awareness and rotation
FFA success depends on predicting where respawns cluster. After each death, watch killcam direction if available and rotate toward audio cues — footsteps in TTK Testing carry farther than many Roblox shooters. Your rifle build excels when you arrive third-party to an existing fight rather than starting fair duels in open ground.
Pre-aim common spawn exits on Institute upper floors and Compound interior doorways. Combine spawn knowledge with laser hip-fire when catching enemies still adjusting crosshair after respawn. This timing window often matters more than raw weapon tier.
Audio and communication
Even without team modes, audio tells you when to ADS versus hip-fire. Reload sounds punish passive players — push during enemy reload animations if distance favors your rifle. Suppressed weapons may arrive in future updates; until then, gunfire direction is reliable intel on PC with decent headphones.
Long-term loadout planning
As new weapons and attachments unlock through playtime or updates, revisit this build quarterly. The FFA skeleton — rifle, holo, laser, sidearm — persists across meta shifts even when specific gun models change. Master the skeleton first; swap individual weapons when tier lists update.
