TTK Testing Attachments — Lasers & Handling Mods
Last updated: 2026-06-21
Attachments mount to weapon rails and modify handling without changing weapon class. In TTK Testing early access, the attachment ecosystem is intentionally small but impactful — every slot competes for space on platforms ranging from M4 Benelli shotguns to MCX-style rifles. This page explains what each attachment type does, how to activate it, and where it ranks in June 2026 meta.
Laser sights
Lasers are the highest-priority attachment for most loadouts. When active, they tighten hip-fire spread — the shots you take without full aim-down-sights. In FFA room fights, time-to-ADS often exceeds time-to-contact. Lasers rank S tier on our Attachment Tier List.
When to use: Close-range pushes, Benelli builds, helmet cam hip-fire focus, any Institute interior rotation.
Controls: Laser toggle may bind to a key listed in Advanced Controls — community reports vary by patch. Verify your bind in settings before queueing.
Tip: Pre-aim hip-fire at head height when clearing doorways. Laser benefit disappears if you aim at floor level during panic.
Fire mode toggles
Fire mode selectors let compatible weapons switch between semi-automatic, burst, or full-auto fire. On rifles, semi wins mid-range duels on Research Station; auto saves close panic moments. Fire mode attachments rank A tier when the underlying weapon supports multiple modes.
When to use: Rifle FFA builds, helmet cam semi-auto discipline, any map with mixed engagement ranges.
Controls: Documented under advanced control community reports — typically a dedicated key separate from reload. Practice toggling in spawn so mid-fight muscle memory exists.
Tip: Do not spray auto at twenty meters unless enemy is already wounded. Early access recoil punishes undisciplined auto fire.
Vertical grips and handling attachments
Grips reduce visual recoil or improve stability during sustained fire depending on implementation patch-by-patch. They generally rank B tier — helpful after laser and optic are equipped, but not transformative for shotgun one-taps.
When to use: Rifle players who lose follow-up shots in long duels. Skip on Benelli until core CQB skills solid.
Angled grips and alternative rails
If angled foregrips appear on your platform, they hybridize hip-fire and ADS transition speed. Community testing places them between B and A tier depending on weapon stats. Test against vertical grip in private FFA sessions.
Rail covers and cosmetic slots
Some rails include cosmetic-only covers without stat changes. C tier for competitive play — equip for aesthetics once performance slots are optimized.
Attachment synergy by weapon class
| Weapon class | Priority 1 | Priority 2 | Priority 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shotgun | Laser | Minimal optic | Flashlight situational |
| Rifle | Laser | Holo optic | Fire mode / grip |
| Pistol | Laser if available | — | — |
Pistols like Glock 19X may have limited rails — focus on primary attachment investment first.
Interaction with optics
Attachments share rail space on some weapons. If forced to choose between laser and grip, pick laser for early access FFA. Optics mount on separate top rail on most rifles — see Items: Optics for pairing rules.
Magnifier plus holo combos consume multiple slots — plan full build on Builds page before purchasing or unlocking attachments.
Patch and balance notes
Attachment tuning is a common early-access lever. Global hip-fire accuracy changes indirectly shift laser value. When DevForum posts mention handling updates, re-test laser-only versus laser-plus-grip stacks.
Common attachment mistakes
Equipping grip before laser on CQB builds. Leaving fire mode on auto always. Forgetting to toggle laser on after respawn. Running two handling attachments that duplicate the same stat. Copying creator builds with attachments your weapon platform cannot mount.
Master lasers and fire modes first — they define more FFA outcomes than marginal grip bonuses.
